Why these settings

The Twin Reverb is a clean platform that won't break up until ear-splitting volumes. This tone requires a drive pedal in front — the amp alone cannot produce the compressed grit. Mid pushed to 7 compensates for the Twin's naturally scooped voicing. Treble and presence kept conservative because the Strat's single coils are already bright and the original tone isn't fizzy.

PRO TIPPalm-mute the low strings aggressively on the verse chug — the tight, percussive attack is half the tone. The original is quantized and edited tight, so play with rhythmic precision and let the compressor even out dynamics.
