01Mustang Built-In Overdrive (Stomp OD)
RECOMMENDED — enable the built-in Overdrive stomp in Fender FUSE software to push the amp into JCM800-style saturation since the Mustang's amp models don't break up as aggressively as the original Marshall
Original was a humbucker Les Paul into a cranked Marshall — your Strat's single coils are brighter and lower output. Compensated by raising mid +2 vs typical Fender settings, dropping treble -1 to tame the Strat ice-pick, and pushing gain higher than the original amp needed because the Mustang's modeling doesn't saturate the same way. The built-in OD stomp is essential to get the front-end push that Noel got from sheer volume.
