Why these settings

The Fender Twin Reverb is a pristine clean pedal platform that cannot physically achieve 5150-style high-gain saturation on its own, so an external high-gain distortion pedal is required. The amp's natural mid scoop and bright top end are compensated by pushing the amp mid to 7, setting treble conservatively at 5, and keeping the bright switch off to prevent harsh top-end fizz. If using a Yamaha GL-1 guitalele with a contact mic or piezos, engage heavy palm muting and pick firmly near the bridge to simulate electric attack.

PRO TIPAnchor your palm firmly against the bridge saddle and strike downstrokes aggressively across the lower strings to get the percussive, chugging chunk essential to the main riff.
