01Fuzz pedal (Zvex Fuzz Factory style)

RECOMMENDED — not owned. A gated fuzz like Zvex Fuzz Factory, Behringer SF300, or EHX Big Muff with gate mod is essential for this tone. The original uses a Fuzz Factory built into the guitar, DI'd. Run the fuzz into your amp set clean.

Gate 7 · Comp 6 · Drive 8 · Stab 5 · Volume 7
Why these settings

The original tone is a Fuzz Factory DI'd directly without an amp — this is fundamentally unreachable on a small practice amp without a fuzz pedal. The Atrust GA 10 is an unrecognized budget solid-state amp with limited gain and likely basic bass/treble or gain/tone controls; I have set presence to null and kept amp gain low at 3 to stay clean while the recommended fuzz provides all saturation. Your Strat's single coils are brighter and lower output than Bellamy's humbucker, so push mid +1 and keep treble moderate to avoid ice-pick highs.

PRO TIPBellamy's signature sputtery gated fuzz sound comes from the Fuzz Factory's Stab and Gate knobs interacting — if you get a fuzz, experiment with starving the voltage (Stab low) until it gates and stutters rhythmically, then dig in hard with your pick to trigger each note cleanly.
