Why these settings

The Katana's Crunch channel approximates a pushed Marshall. West's tone was mid-heavy and warm, not bright — your Squier's ceramic single coils are brighter and thinner than his P90, so I dropped treble to 5 and pushed mids to 7 to compensate. Presence stays low to avoid fizz; the original had no effects.

PRO TIPWest dug in hard with his picking hand near the neck pickup for that fat, vocal sustain — try picking over the neck pickup itself and let notes bloom rather than attacking them sharply.
