Why these settings

The Rogue 1 is a budget solid-state amp with limited gain and EQ range compared to a modded JCM800. I've set gain near max to approach Mars' saturated tone, kept mids scooped at 4 for that classic 80s scoop, and rolled tone knob to 8 to tame any harsh fizz from the solid-state clipping. The original recording is bone dry, so reverb stays at 0.

PRO TIPTune down to Eb standard to match the recording. Dig in hard with your pick near the bridge for that aggressive attack—Mars' tone relies heavily on right-hand dynamics to cut through the saturation.
