01Boss ME-30 Compressor Block
Tightens pick attack on single-coil palm mutes before the high-gain stage

Select 'METAL' or 'LEAD' type on the ME-30 to replicate the cascaded EVH 5150 preamp saturation
The original track uses high-output humbuckers through a high-gain EVH/Marshall stack, so on a single-coil Stratocaster we push the ME-30 drive to 8 and pull treble down slightly to eliminate bridge single-coil brittleness. Midrange is kept forward at 7 to capture the signature aggressive vocal-like cut without turning thin. Rolling the Strat tone knob to 8 smooths out the top end to emulate a thicker humbucker response.
