Why these settings

The Shiva is darker and more mid-present than Hetfield's modded Marshall, with EL34 warmth rather than the JMP's raw bite. Dropped gain from 8.5 to 7 because the Shiva's lead channel saturates earlier and your PRS humbuckers are hotter than vintage Flying V pickups. Pulled treble back from 8 to 6 — the Shiva's treble is voiced higher and gets ice-picky where the JMP stayed musical. Mid stays scooped at 3 to capture that classic thrash character.

PRO TIPUse aggressive downstroke picking with tight palm muting right at the bridge saddles — Hetfield's percussive attack is 50% of this tone. Dig in hard; the Shiva rewards pick dynamics.
