Used as a clean-to-edge transparent boost block in front of the amp model to tighten low end and add percussive grit
The Ibanez GRG170DX humbuckers push more output and low-mid warmth than Thomas Raggi's single-coil Strat, so using the middle single coil (or split position) thins out the mud and matches the glassy snap. The DELUXE RVB model provides authentic Fender sparkle and dynamic edge-of-breakup, while Bass is trimmed to 4 to prevent low-end boom on the percussive funk mutes. The RC BST block is engaged with modest gain to simulate the aggressive, pushed Fender tube front-end without turning into distortion.
