01Chorus (built-in or modeled)
Essential for Mac's sound — use the Pocketamp's chorus effect if available. Set depth high for that syrupy, washed texture. Rate moderate, not fast.
02Vibrato (built-in or modeled)
RECOMMENDED — if your Pocketamp has a vibrato or pitch modulation effect, use it stacked with chorus. If not, lean harder on chorus depth. A Boss VB-2 clone (~$30-50) gets you the rest of the way.
The Vibro-Champ is a tiny, dark-sounding tube amp with zero headroom — the Pocketamp's Fender-style clean model approximates this but will be brighter and tighter. Roll treble back to 4 (vs typical 5-6) to compensate for digital clarity. Your Pacifica's Alnico V single coils are brighter than a 70s Strat's worn pickups, so the neck position with tone at 6 warms it up. Gain stays low — Mac's dirt comes from tape saturation, not the amp.
