Why these settings

The original recording features pristine, ultra-clean studio session guitar with no distortion whatsoever, so bypass your Overdrive pedal entirely. On your Fender Twin Reverb, keep the Bright switch off and roll Treble down to 5 to prevent your Squier single coils from sounding harsh or overly piercing. Pushing the Twin's Middle to 6 adds the necessary body and roundness to match the lush 1991 production.

PRO TIPUse a light 0.60mm nylon pick and strike with a relaxed, snappy wrist right over the middle pickup to nail that tight, glossy 90s bolero-pop rhythm groove.
