Why these settings

The GA-20 is a low-wattage vintage-voiced amp designed for blues breakup — it cannot produce Mesa Rectifier high-gain saturation. I've maxed gain and pushed treble/mid to compensate for your Strat's single-coil brightness and lower output vs the original humbucker PRS. Without a distortion pedal, you will only achieve a crunchy overdrive — the original's thick sustain and compressed wall-of-gain is unobtainable on this rig. A Big Muff or DS-1 is mandatory to get close.

PRO TIPThe song is in Drop D tuning (D-A-D-G-B-E). Roll your Strat's tone knob to 7 to tame the ice-pick highs that single coils produce at high gain — this mimics humbucker warmth. For the verse arpeggios, back your guitar volume to 5 for cleanup while keeping the same amp settings.
