Why these settings

Your Markbass is a bass amp with transparent hi-fi voicing and no presence/reverb controls — it will amplify cleanly but cannot produce Marshall grind. The Black Secret on Turbo mode becomes your entire dirt source, emulating the original's fuzz snarl. Rolled treble to 5 and tone knob to 8 compensate for the SG's darker humbuckers vs the original's bright Strat single-coil. Mid pushed to 6 to cut through since the Rat circuit can get muddy on bass-focused amps.

PRO TIPDig in hard with the pick right over the bridge pickup pole pieces — Kravitz's attack is aggressive and percussive, and that picking position gives you the snarl and harmonic overtones that define this tone.
