Why these settings

The original used a Telecaster bridge pickup into a small pushed combo — your Strat's single coils are brighter and lower output. Using the neck pickup with tone rolled to 7 approximates the Tele's warmer bridge voicing. Mid pushed to 7 compensates for the Strat's natural scoop and recreates that singing, vocal-like sustain. Gain at 5 gives breakup without fizz — the original wasn't high-gain, just a cranked low-wattage amp compressing naturally.
