RECOMMENDED — not currently owned; with this pedal, push the amp's front end for modern high-gain tightness
The Deviser YX-TG-30 is a compact solid-state practice amp with an Overdrive switch and a 3-band EQ, so run the Drive channel at gain 7 to get maximum saturation without collapsing into harsh fizz. Single-coil Telecaster pickups are substantially brighter and leaner than the original 7-string humbuckers, so roll the guitar tone knob back to 7 and keep amp treble at 5 with bass at 6 to simulate the thicker low-end thump. The intro clean chorus lick uses an Ibanez BC-9 Bi-Mode chorus, but for the main riff keep the sound completely dry with zero reverb.
