The NUX MG-101 is a budget multi-FX unit with amp modeling. Select the highest-gain amp model available (typically labeled 'Metal' or 'Rectifier'). The original Rectifier tone is extremely mid-scooped (mids at 2-3 on the real amp), so drop your mid to 2. Budget modelers can get fizzy at high gain, so if it sounds harsh, pull treble to 6. Engage the built-in noise gate — this is non-negotiable for playability.

PRO TIPKorn's percussive attack comes from palm-muting directly over the bridge pickup and using the pick almost parallel to the strings for a scratchy, aggressive dig.
