Why these settings

The Selmer original is a warm, mid-focused British amp with controlled top end. Your Vox V9106 is brighter and thinner with less natural compression. I pushed mids to 6 to compensate for the V9106's scooped voicing, kept gain moderate at 4 for edge-of-breakup rather than full distortion, and rolled your tone knob to 7 to tame the Squier's bright single coils. The onboard reverb substitutes for the studio's Eventide wash.

PRO TIPPick closer to the neck and use the fleshy part of your thumb/pick attack to get that warm, pillowy note bloom—aggressive bridge picking will sound too brittle on your rig for this tone.
