Why these settings

The Stol GL-10 is a compact practice amp with a 2-band EQ (bass/treble only), so the missing mid and presence controls are nulled while pushing gain to 8 on the drive switch to emulate Hendrix's saturated Marshall breakup. The Les Paul SL ceramic single-coils naturally deliver bite, but running on the neck pickup softens the top end closer to a vintage Strat. Add a dedicated Fuzz Face and Wah pedal in front down the road to capture the true explosive dynamic response.

PRO TIPHendrix left the Fuzz Face maxed out and rode his guitar volume between 6 and 9 to clean up the attack into glassy overdrive, rolling all the way to 10 only for soaring leads.
