The original uses a Fender Twin-style clean platform with a Blues Driver for light grit. Your Laney EG is an unrecognized model so I've set near-universal knobs only. Without an overdrive pedal, keep gain low for a clean foundation; the warm neck pickup approximates the Telecaster neck tone. A Boss BD-2 or similar low-gain overdrive would get you the signature pushed-clean sound.
