The BC Rich Warlock's high-output humbuckers are hotter than Murray's modded Strat, so gain stays at 7 rather than 8. Bass dropped to 4 because the Warlock's mahogany body adds low-end weight the Strat lacked. Mids pushed to 7 to retain the JCM800's midrange bark that defines the gallop attack.

PRO TIPThe gallop is strict down-down-up alternate picking on palm-muted low strings — anchor your picking hand firmly near the bridge saddles and dig in with the pick angled slightly for that percussive snap. Precision here matters more than gain.
