Why these settings

The Flatson 10W mini practice amp lacks dedicated mid and presence controls, so mid-forward character is achieved by rolling treble back to 4 to cut harshness from the small speaker. The drive channel is set to 7 to generate necessary sustain from the amp alone without an external overdrive. Rolling the neck pickup tone knob back to 6 on your Grote LP mimics Slash's warm 'woman tone' vocal curve. For the fast outro solo: flip to the bridge pickup with tone knob on 10.

PRO TIPPick smoothly over the neck pickup using the rounded edge of a heavy pick; letting notes ring with slow, wide finger vibrato replicates Slash's singing vocal sustain.
