Why these settings

Your Strat's single-coils are bright and lower output versus Duplantier's hot D Activator humbuckers. Dropped gain by 0.5, raised mids +0.5 to compensate for the Strat's natural scoop, cut bass -1 to prevent flub from the single-coil's looser low-end. The compressor block is critical here to even out the dynamics and add sustain that humbuckers provide naturally. The ME-90's 5150-style DRIVEN model gets you in the ballpark of the EVH voicing.

PRO TIPGojira's tightness comes from aggressive palm-muting technique with the pick angled slightly - practice muting RIGHT at the bridge saddles, not further back, and use Dunlop Tortex 0.88mm or heavier picks for that percussive attack.
