The Jazzmaster single-coils are brighter and have less low-mid thickness than Gary Moore's PAF humbuckers, so the amp mids are pushed to 8 and the guitar tone knob is rolled back to 7. The Mustang LT40S faceplate has Bass and Treble controls (with Mid adjusted in the preset menu and no physical Presence knob). Using the onboard drive block into the amp's lead model provides the endless, singing sustain of the cranked Mesa Mark I without needing external pedals.
