01Boss OD-2 Turbo OverDrive

Used as a mild mid-boost/push into the front of the amp to mimic the compressed sag of a cranked 5W tweed Champ

Level 7 · Tone 4 · Drive 3 · Turbo 0
Why these settings

The cranked tweed Champ original is thick and compressed with soft highs, whereas the Marshall Origin 20C has a brighter British top end. We keep treble and presence low and push mids to emulate the tweed breakup, engaging the Origin's pull-boost alongside a light Boss OD-2 push for singing sustain. Note: Tilt control on the Origin 20C should be set low around 3 to favor the darker Normal voicing.

PRO TIPClapton used his Strat's neck pickup with the guitar tone knob rolled back to roughly 6, rounding off the glassy transient attack to get that unmistakable vocal, woman-tone edge on the main riff.
