Why these settings

The Stagg 20-GA-DR's built-in solid-state overdrive is harsh compared to a cranked 5E3 Tweed Deluxe, so run the Clean channel with moderate preamp gain to avoid clipping. Keep the mid band boosted around 7 to replicate the fat, vocal midrange of Felder's 1959 Burst and compensate for the 8-inch speaker's smaller voice.
