01NUX MG-300 Mk2 — Tape Echo/Delay Block

Select 'Tape Echo' or 'Analog Delay' model to approximate Echoplex warmth. 340-380ms delay time. Subtle repeats, not runaway.

02NUX MG-300 Mk2 — Overdrive Block (Tweed-style or TS model)

Use 'Tweed' or 'Blues OD' amp model in the MG-300 to simulate the cranked Deluxe compression. Keep drive moderate — this tone breaks up on pick attack, not constant saturation.

03NUX MG-300 Mk2 — Chorus Block (optional)

Very subtle — adds slight thickening heard on some Walsh harmony parts. Turn off if you want pure Felder lead tone.

Why these settings

The FirstAct MA155 is a small solid-state practice amp with limited headroom and no tube breakup. The MG-300 must provide ALL the gain character and Tweed-style compression — use its amp modeling block set to a Tweed or Fender model, not the FirstAct's preamp. Mid pushed to 7 compensates for the Spectrum's likely bright, thin voicing vs Felder's fat PAF humbuckers. Treble dropped to 5 to avoid ice-pick harshness.

PRO TIPFelder's singing sustain came from the cranked Tweed's natural compression reacting to pick dynamics — dig in hard on the downbeats, lighten up on the sustained notes. Roll your guitar volume to 8 during the quieter harmony passages to clean up the attack, then back to 10 for the climactic bends.
