01Delay (any digital delay or tape emulation)

RECOMMENDED — not currently owned. The original used a Maestro Echoplex tape delay for the solo's swell and depth. A Boss DD-3, TC Electronic Flashback, or any basic delay pedal gets you 85% there. Set delay time around 350-400ms, moderate repeats, mix below unity.

Why these settings

The Cort 23030865 is an entry-level solid-state practice amp with limited headroom and no tube saturation — the original Tweed Deluxe's magic came from power tube compression at volume. Push gain to 6 to approximate breakup but keep it controlled to avoid fizz. Mid at 7 compensates for solid-state's typically scooped voicing vs the Tweed's inherently mid-forward circuit. Treble at 5 and presence at 4 prevent harshness. Your Epiphone LP with ProBuckers is a good match for Felder's PAF-loaded '59 — similar output and voicing.

PRO TIPRoll your guitar's tone knob to 7 to tame the ProBucker's slightly hotter top-end vs vintage PAFs. For the solo, use your picking hand closer to the neck pickup for that fat, vocal singing quality — Felder's attack is smooth, not aggressive.
