Why these settings

The EK-20 is an unrecognized practice amp without verified dedicated mid or presence controls, so mid and presence are set to null while bass and treble are voiced to balance your single-coil Daytona Strat against Petrucci's thick Mesa Mark IIC+ humbucker tone. The amp's own drive channel is pushed to 8 with treble backed off slightly to smooth out bridge/neck single-coil harshness. Clean intro/verse: switch your amp to the clean channel and select the middle+neck pickup position.
