Original was a cranked Tweed Deluxe (no negative feedback, mid-heavy, ~12W pushed hard) with PAF humbuckers. The Birt 2204 is a JCM800 voice — more aggressive, tighter mids, brighter presence. Gain dropped to 4 (vs a cranked Tweed's full saturation) because the 2204 breaks up harder and faster. Mid pushed to 7 to recover the Tweed's thick midrange character. Treble and presence pulled back to avoid the 2204's bite overpowering the smooth, singing quality. Your Pacifica's Seymour Duncan humbuckers are hotter and brighter than vintage PAFs — neck pickup with tone rolled to 7 softens the attack to approximate that fat, vocal sustain.
