01Behringer OD300 Overdrive/Distortion
Used as a tight front-end boost into the OD-1 channel to tighten bass and add pick attack; Mode set low towards Overdrive
The MG15GFX solid-state preamp needs the OD-1 channel at moderate gain paired with the Behringer OD300 acting as a clean/mid boost to emulate Farin Urlaub's tight Marshall tube crunch without fuzzing out. The ST-20 single-coil bridge pickup is inherently thinner and brighter than Farin's custom humbuckers, so tone is rolled back to 8, amp treble is kept moderate at 5, and mids are pushed to 7 to add body. Note that the MG15GFX has Bass, Middle, and Treble but no physical Presence knob. For the clean arpeggiated bridge section, simply click over to the Clean channel.
