Why these settings

The GWL BE100 is an entry-level practice amp that lacks an authentic Tweed tube compression stage, so a vintage-style overdrive pedal is recommended into the clean channel. Keep the amp's master and EQ balanced, rolling treble back slightly to compensate for the small speaker's brittle top end. Mid and presence controls are set to null as they do not exist on this amp's faceplate.

PRO TIPPick hard near the bridge with your fingers or a stiff plectrum to emulate Clapton's aggressive, biting pick attack on 'Brownie', and roll your Strat's tone knob down to around 8 to shave off excessive high-end spike.
