The Midex MGA 25 is an unrecognized budget solid-state amp — knob names may differ on your faceplate; presence is likely absent (set to null). Original used a high-gain tube preamp into a power amp; your amp's preamp cannot reach that saturation, so a distortion pedal is mandatory. Dropped mid to 3 (original was scooped around 3.5) and raised treble to 7 to compensate for single-coil brightness loss vs the original's hot JB humbucker.

PRO TIPPalm-mute hard and pick aggressively near the bridge to get that percussive chunk; the original 7-string's low Db string adds thump you'll approximate by tuning your low E down to Db and digging in with the heel of your picking hand.
