Why these settings

Your Strat's single coils are significantly lower output and brighter than Carpenter's JB humbuckers. Gain is pushed +1 from the original 6 to compensate for weaker pickup output, and treble is dropped from 6 to 5 to tame the Strat's inherent brightness. Mid is pushed to 7 to approximate the JB's thick midrange bark. For the thin verse tone, drop gain to 4, bass to 2, and mid to 5 using the Spark app's preset switching.
