Why these settings

The Soundsation practice amp is kept on its clean channel with gain low to emulate the studio clean DI track. Treble is pulled back slightly to tame solid-state harshness and replicate the warm tape roll-off heard on the recording. The mid and bass are balanced to keep the single-coil rhythm chime full without getting boomy.

PRO TIPPlay with a medium-soft fingerstyle touch or a thin nylon pick over the neck pickup area to soften the percussive attack and nail the laid-back, muted indie feel.
