01Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man (RECOMMENDED — not owned)
~600ms delay time, one repeat. Run direct into amp input. Critical for this tone — a Boss DD-3/DD-7 or any analog-voiced delay will substitute if set to 600ms with low repeats
The Unbrand TG-15 is a small practice amp with limited headroom and EQ range compared to the Twin's 85-watt clean platform. Push reverb to 8 to compensate for the lack of spatial depth from the smaller cabinet. The Maxon OD808 is not used here — this tone is entirely clean. Without the Memory Man delay, the ambient wash that defines the track is missing; a digital delay substitute with 600ms and one repeat is essential.
