Why these settings

The Rocktile GF-15 is kept on the Clean channel at gain 2 to maintain pristine headroom and prevent small-speaker solid-state breakup. Treble is pushed to 7 to replicate the glassy Fender Blackface top end on the Telecaster neck pickup, while bass is centered to avoid low-end boom. Because the GF-15 lacks built-in delay, chorus, and spring reverb, adding dedicated ambient pedals is essential to fully recreate the iconic spatial depth of this recording.

PRO TIPPick smoothly near the neck with a medium-light pick, and use gentle, continuous whammy-bar dips (or slow manual finger vibrato behind the nut/bridge) on sustained double-stops to create Wilsey's signature floating, Hawaiian-influenced pitch drift.
