The NUX MG-300's Marshall high-gain model is dialed with boosted mids and treble to recreate the sharp upper-mid bite of Alexi's signature tone. The TS-style overdrive block placed in front with Drive at zero and Level pushed emulates his active EMG MM-04 booster by tightening the bass response on fast palm mutes. The Gibson SG Modern's passive bridge humbucker has plenty of output, so keeping the amp gain around 7 prevents the tight sixteenth-note riffs from turning to mush.
