Why these settings

Alexi's signature tone relies heavily on the mid-heavy GP-1000 preamp paired with a mid-boost circuit before the amp. On the M-Vave MK-20, run a TS-style overdrive with Drive at 0 and Level pushed to tighten the low end of your Drop C tuning, while bumping mids and treble to recreate the signature bite through your mahogany RG321MH.

PRO TIPTune the 6th string down to Drop C (C-G-C-F-A-D) and strike the palm mutes hard near the bridge saddles with sharp downstrokes to get the punchy, staccato chug heard throughout the riff.
