01Valeton GP-50 (Amp Block: Mesa Recto Modern / High Gain)
Set amp block to a Mesa Dual/Triple Rectifier or high-gain American lead model; enable a 4x12 Recto cab simulation
02Valeton GP-50 (Boost/OD Block: TS-style Drive)
Used strictly as a clean front-end boost to tighten the flubby low-end and add aggressive string cut
The Cort CM15R practice amp cannot reproduce the massive low-end and thick saturation of Tom DeLonge's cranked Rectifier/Marshall blend on its own, so the Valeton GP-50 acts as the sole preamp and gain source. Keep the CM15R on its Clean channel with amp Gain set low (2) and EQ neutral at 12 o'clock to avoid harsh double-distortion. The Cort G110's bridge humbucker has lower output than DeLonge's ultra-hot Gibson Dirty Fingers, so pushing the GP-50 boost block's level compensates for the lost attack. Clean verse transition: kick off the boost and switch to a light breakup/clean amp model on the GP-50.
