The Spider V gain stages run significantly hotter and fizzier than the real EVH 5150/6505 tube rigs Jake Pitts uses, so keep the amp gain dialed back to 6. Your Ibanez GRGA120 passive Infinity R humbuckers lack the built-in mid compression of active EMGs, requiring a slight bump to the mid control (7) and an internal Screamer clean boost block to tighten the low-end attack without adding muddiness. Note that the Spider V 30 faceplate has no physical presence knob, so presence is nulled.
