Bass pushed to 8 compensates for the Tele's thinner low-end vs an SG with P90s. Treble dropped to 4 because the Tele bridge pickup is already bright and the original tone is dark and heavy. Rolling the guitar tone knob to 6 further tames the single-coil ice-pick. A fuzz pedal is mandatory to reach the recording's saturation — without one, you'll get blues crunch, not doom.

PRO TIPTune down to C♯ standard (C♯ F♯ B E G♯ C♯) — the riff's weight comes from the slack strings and slow attack as much as the amp settings.
