Why these settings

Iommi ran zero bass on the Laney, but the Spider's Crunch channel is inherently thinner than a Laney Supergroup, so bass at 3 compensates. Mid pushed to 8 replicates his maxed mids plus the Rangemaster's midrange emphasis. Without a treble booster pedal, gain at 7 on the Spider's Crunch channel approximates the pushed-front-end saturation the Rangemaster provided.

PRO TIPDig in hard with your pick right over the bridge pickup pole pieces—Iommi's attack was aggressive and precise, which is where that iconic grind comes from. Lighter picking will lose the tone instantly.
