Why these settings

The Katana 50 MkII lacks an external Rangemaster, so we use the Crunch voice pushed by the onboard Treble/Mid Booster to replicate the grinding Laney preamp saturation. Bass and mids are pushed to 7 to deliver the signature sludgy low-end girth through your Les Paul humbuckers without turning muddy. Presence is omitted as the Katana 50 faceplate does not feature a physical presence knob.

PRO TIPTony Iommi played with a very light touch using light-gauge strings due to his prosthetic fingertips; hit the strings smoothly rather than aggressively to keep the low strings from flubbing out under heavy saturation.
