Used as a tightening EQ/gate only (Gain at 0) to replicate the Precision Drive's clarity boost into the Spark's clean Metal amp model
The Spark's Metal amp is already scooped and compressed like a Rectifier, so mids are pulled to 3 (vs Mesa's 5) to avoid muddiness. The Fullbore Metal runs with Gain OFF as a frequency shaper and gate substitute for the Precision Drive's palm-mute tightness. Your JP60's active humbuckers are hotter than the Explorer's passive pickup, so gain stays at 8 instead of higher to prevent fizz.
