Why these settings

The Meteoro Nitrous Drive is a Brazilian solid-state amp with a mid-forward, slightly fuzzy overdrive character — the opposite of the Uberschall's tight, scooped punch. Scooping mid to 3 compensates for the Meteoro's inherent mid-hump. Bass stays strong at 6 for chunk, treble at 7 for articulation. Without a boost pedal, the attack will be softer — consider palm-muting harder to compensate.

PRO TIPThe original tone's percussive tightness comes from aggressive downpicking with the pick angled slightly and striking close to the bridge. Mute tightly with the heel of your palm right at the saddles — loose muting kills this tone.
