Why these settings

The BE100 is a Friedman BE-100 clone, which is Marshall-derived with tighter low-end than a stock JCM800—this actually works well for the JP-2C/Hellwin style. The original uses hot active-style Invaders; your Flying V's passive humbuckers have slightly less output, so gain stays at 7 rather than dropping it. Mids at 6 preserves the aggressive bark of the Mesa voicing. Presence at 7 compensates for the Invader's sizzle your pickups lack.

PRO TIPRoll your tone knob to 8 to tame any fizz on palm mutes—the original tone is tight and controlled, not fizzy. Pick closer to the bridge with a firm attack to get that percussive chunk on the Drop D riffs.
