Why these settings

Your Ibanez S521 has Quantum humbuckers which are brighter and slightly lower output than the original SH-4 JB — roll tone knob to 8 to tame the high-end. The POD XT's Treadplate model nails the Dual Rectifier character. Mids at 5 rather than the original's 5.5 because the Treadplate model runs slightly mid-forward compared to the real amp's Modern mode.
