Why these settings

The Yamaha Pacifica 112V has Alnico V humbuckers with significantly lower output than the original Invader pickups. Gain is pushed to 8 to compensate for the output difference. Mid is raised to 7 because the Uberschall's tight, focused midrange is central to this tone—without the Bogner's inherent compression, extra mids prevent the Ziron from sounding thin. Treble is pulled back to 6 since the Pacifica's bridge humbucker is brighter than the ceramic Invaders. A boost pedal in front is critical to replicate the tight pick attack of the original.

PRO TIPPalm mute pressure is everything on this riff—use firm, consistent muting right at the bridge saddles and pick aggressively with downstrokes to get that percussive 'chunk' that defines the Nightmare tone.
