The Hellwin and Bogner originals are tighter and more focused in the low-mids than the DSL's EL34 voicing. Dropped bass from the original 7 to 5 to prevent the DSL's looser low-end from getting muddy. Mid stays at 7 to nail that midrange bark — the DSL's mid-forward character actually helps here. Presence pulled to 6 (original was 7-8) because the DSL's presence can get fizzy above 7 on high gain. Ultra Gain red channel gets you into Hellwin territory without a boost pedal.
