RECOMMENDED — not currently owned. Essential for the pulsing rhythm of the verse arpeggios. Rate at ~75% for 1/16 notes at 108 BPM, depth maxed, waveform fully linear/square.
02Boss CE-2 Chorus (or any analog chorus)
RECOMMENDED — not currently owned. Subtle shimmer, not heavy modulation. A TC Electronic Corona or EHX Small Clone works as a substitute.
The Ampeg BA-110 is a bass amplifier — its EQ is centered around bass guitar frequencies (low-mids, sub frequencies) and lacks the upper-midrange presence and preamp voicing of a guitar amp. I've cut bass drastically to -3 from the original's 5 and pushed mids to 7 to compensate for the amp's naturally dark, scooped guitar response. Gain stays minimal because bass amp distortion on guitar sounds fizzy and undefined. The tone will be usable but dull compared to the original's chime.
